Network Development Engineer (a) (80 – 100%)

Your challenge

You will work in an agile project organization based on SAFe, together with around 50 specialists from various disciplines. In this role, you will combine a broad technical perspective with in-depth specialist expertise. You will design and build networks, work with the underlying protocols, develop technical concepts and actively contribute to the further development of modern routing and communication solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Network conception and development (~ 40%)
  • You analyze customer requirements and interfaces in collaboration with subject-matter experts from Cyber Command
  • You develop and design modern IP-based network architectures with a focus on unicast and multicast routing
  • You are part of an agile development team and advise the software development team on network-related topics with your expertise
  • You support the Product Owner in creating user stories and acceptance criteria in the areas of routing and networking

• Network / Software implementation (~ 40%)
  • You define interfaces and create specifications related to dynamic routing and IP addressing
  • You create prototypes in primarily virtualized network environments using Linux FRR

• Integration with peripheral systems, including testing with end systems (~ 20%)
  • You are responsible for implementing routing configurations for integration tests
  • You carry out integration tests, analyze error patterns and actively contribute to sustainable solutions
  • You support the software development team and contribute to the definition, execution and review of unit and system tests in the area of routing management
